Falklands WAR Wounded: LONDON 1982
War and conflict bring about horrendous casualties. Following the end of the Falklands conflict, John Robert Young managed to gain access to the Queen Elizabeth Military Hospital in Woolwich now rebuilt as a local NHS hospital. The Hospital administration gave him unrestricted access, no doubt wanting to show the British public and indeed the whole world the rehabilitation of our war wounded. Had he approached the Ministry of Defence directly, he says, “Access would undoubtedly been denied. In their minds, the war wounded are bad for business.”
