Exploring the Landscape: The Island of Iona with it's famous Abbey looking across the sound to the Island of Mull. For the Gaels, Iona is the Isle of 'Colm Cille' an Irish priest and prince who was to become revered as St Columba and the cradle of Scottish Christianity. Today, as over the centuries, Iona remains a place of pilgrimage.
